Data Agency in Paris
Consulting, Engineering, and AI for Large Enterprises and Scale-ups
Data scattered across dozens of systems, artificial intelligence initiatives launched in parallel, and metrics that don’t match from one tool to another.
These are the types of situations we handle on a daily basis for our clients. Located at 12 rue de la Bourse, just a stone’s throw from Place de la Bourse in the 2nd arrondissement, we have been supporting Parisian companies since 2019 across their entire data value chain: data management and reliability, model standardization, deployment of artificial intelligence use cases, and digital performance management.
Paris is the birthplace of 5 Degrés. It was here that we established our first Practices and solidified our conviction: we don’t sell skills—we solve problems. Today, 150 employees across Paris, Bordeaux, and Toulouse support our clients throughout France, working alongside data departments, CIOs, product teams, and marketing departments.
Why use a data agency based in Paris?
Paris is home to the headquarters of major French corporations and the majority of digital scale-ups. This concentration creates a very specific data challenge: scaling up. Companies in the Paris region lack neither data, nor tools, nor projects. What they lack is consistency. Here are the six situations we encounter most often in our Paris-based engagements.
Having a physical presence on Rue de la Bourse makes a real difference. Our consultants are on-site with our clients throughout central Paris, as well as in La Défense, Boulogne, Saint-Denis, and Issy-les-Moulineaux, and we conduct our workshops in person. A data scoping session or an AI onboarding workshop takes place around a table, not via videoconference.
Your data and AI projects are moving forward in parallel, without a common foundation
Your processing activities must be traceable and compliant
Your customer data is scattered across the web, the physical network, and the CRM
Your data architecture can no longer keep pace with your growth
Your digital performance metrics don't tell the same story across different tools
Your teams are constantly balancing between day-to-day operations and strategic projects
Dozens of legacy systems, autonomous business units, and artificial intelligence initiatives launched independently of one another: the challenge in Paris isn’t getting started—it’s keeping it all together. Each department operates with its own tools and definitions, and no one has a consolidated view of what already exists.
The 5 Degrés solution: a framework based on the existing infrastructure, a shared target architecture across all entities, and a realistic path to convergence—rather than a comprehensive overhaul that the organization cannot absorb.
In banking, insurance, and fintech, regulatory constraints shape everything: traceability of data processing, governance requirements, and preparation for the European AI Regulation. An architecture that works but isn’t properly documented won’t pass risk committee reviews.
The 5 Degrés solution: built-in compliance from the scoping phase onward—documentation of data processing, traceability of architectural decisions, and anticipation of regulatory obligations. This work is carried out in collaboration with your legal advisors and your DPO.
In retail, media, and luxury, the challenge lies in reconciling customer data across the web, physical stores, and CRM systems, and then enabling marketing teams to act on that data at a pace that aligns with the campaign calendar. A single customer identified three times across three systems is effectively unusable anywhere.
The 5 Degrés solution: a single customer database, a reliable tagging scheme, an attribution framework, and streamlined data flows to your activation tools.
In scale-ups, the challenge is yet another: how do you keep a data architecture designed for ten people functioning when the workforce triples in a short period of time? What used to work with a few scripts and a lot of good will becomes a bottleneck as usage increases.
The 5 Degrés solution: a foundation scaled to your growth trajectory—built quickly but designed to last—and engineering practices that your in-house teams can adopt as their own.
One topic comes up in nearly all of our Paris-based projects: measuring digital performance. Web data, product data, and marketing campaign data are stored in separate tools, each with differing definitions of the same metric. Restoring consistency throughout this chain is often the project that unlocks all the others, because it provides management with a shared basis for decision-making.
The 5 Degrés solution: a shared set of metrics, a reliable measurement chain from data collection to reporting, and figures that no one disputes in executive committee meetings.
Added to this is a market reality: recruiting a senior data engineer in the Île-de-France region takes several months, and internal teams are constantly balancing day-to-day operations with the progress of strategic projects. Major projects are put on hold due to a lack of availability, not a lack of expertise.
The 5 Degrés solution: specifically resolving these situations by taking charge of the major project, transferring best practices, and then empowering the team to operate independently. Our goal isn’t to stay; our goal is to make you self-sufficient.

Data Analysis
Predictive models, recommendation systems, natural language processing, and generative artificial intelligence applied to business operations. Most of our projects focus less on proof of concept and more on what comes next: scaling, MLOps, monitoring model drift, and compliance management. We rely on our Product Management teams to anchor each use case in a measurable user need.
Design and implementation of data platforms, data ingestion pipelines, modeling, and quality and reliability management for data flows. Our projects in Paris frequently involve cloud migrations, the streamlining of legacy architectures, and the establishment of sustainable technical governance in multi-entity environments.
Structuring metrics, analyzing performance, overhauling reporting systems, and empowering business teams. Goal: to ensure that data supports decision-making rather than simply filling dashboards that no one ever looks at.

Data, Web, and Marketing: Equipping Your acquisition teams
We are not a communications agency, and we do not manage your media buying. Instead, a growing portion of our projects in Paris involves providing marketing departments with the foundations they need to do their jobs: reconciling customer data from the web, CRM systems, and point-of-sale channels; ensuring the reliability of the tagging plan; building an attribution framework; and implementing a consistent method for measuring campaign performance.
In practice, this takes the form of projects focused on acquisition quality management, modeling a unified customer base, analyzing the contribution of various digital channels, and standardizing data flows to your activation tools. The goal is simple: to ensure your digital strategy is backed by metrics that no one can dispute in executive committee meetings. This is also what enables very different companies—from large enterprises to scale-ups—to share the same measurement strategy.
It’s also the area where the boundary between data and digital products becomes most useful. A reliable measurement chain isn’t just for evaluating campaigns: it informs product roadmap decisions, analyzes user journeys, and helps prioritize digital investments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide services outside the city limits of Paris?
Yes. Our consultants operate throughout the Île-de-France region, including the major business districts of La Défense, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Boulogne-Billancourt, and Saint-Denis. For national projects, we also draw on our offices in Bordeaux and Toulouse to cover all of France.
Do you help marketing departments analyze their data?
Yes, but before activation. We build and ensure the reliability of the data pipeline your marketing teams rely on: a unified customer database, a web tagging plan, an attribution model, and campaign performance measurement. We don’t manage your media buys or creative assets. We make sure the metrics used to evaluate them are accurate. That’s our role: upstream, focused on customer data.
Do you work mainly with large corporations or with startups?
Both, using different approaches. For large enterprises, we primarily work on large-scale structuring and governance initiatives. For scale-ups, we focus on rapidly building a data foundation that can support their growth.
Can you take over for an in-house data team during a transition period?
Yes, this is one of our recurring use cases. We ensure continuity within a defined scope, acting as a partner who challenges rather than simply carrying out instructions.
How do you ensure that our data processing activities comply with regulations?
Compliance is built in from the scoping phase onward; it is not addressed at the end of the project. We work with your legal advisors and your DPO to document data processing activities, track architectural decisions, and anticipate the requirements of the European Artificial Intelligence Regulation.
How long does it take to launch a data project in the Île-de-France region?
A maturity assessment or workshop can be scheduled within two to three weeks. For a long-term consulting engagement, the timeline depends on the profile we’re looking for; we’ll provide you with a clear timeline from our very first conversation.
