Legal and regulatory framework

Since October 2019, all public websites have been required to comply with the Référentiel Général d'Amélioration de l'Accessibilité (RGAA).
From June 2025, this requirement will be extended to the private sector, under the European Accessibility Act. Any company offering essential digital services (e-commerce, transport, banking, telephony, etc.) will have to demonstrate a compliance rate of over 50% with the 106 criteria of RGAA 4, with mandatory publication of the level of accessibility on the home page of the site or application.
