Internal mobility

Three stories of successful internal mobility!

At 5 Degrés, every career is unique, and we are committed to supporting our employees in the role they wish to take on.

We offer everyone the opportunity to develop their career by taking the lead on a Task Force, supporting Practice Leaders, becoming a Mentor or collaborating with the HR team to technically validate our candidates during recruitment. To meet everyone's expectations, people reviews are organized on a monthly basis, enabling us to monitor the well-being of our consultants and in-house staff in an agile and dynamic way.

In addition, we support our employees' professional development by facilitating mobility between Practices or between our different branches, so that everyone is in the right place and can achieve their full potential.

In 2023, three geographical moves took place between our branches in Paris, Bordeaux and Toulouse, and we're going to tell you all about it!

"I'm the first Consultant at 5 Degrés Bordeaux after 2.5 years with 5 Degrés Paris.

Having a keen interest in IT development, I decided to change careers after several years in the French Air Force. I then joined two different ESNs for which I mainly worked on front and back-end development for various customers. Wishing to join a more human-sized ESN, I decided to join 5 Degrés Paris in January 2020."

What prompted you to consider internal mobility between agencies?

"Nostalgic for the South-West and knowing that a new agency was opening in Bordeaux, I decided to jump at the chance to apply at the beginning of May this year and here I am!"

How were you supported and accompanied in your transition from one agency to another?

"I was supported by Johan (Associate Director of 5 Degrés), who very quickly got me on board with the move to the new premises in Bordeaux. I was also supported by the HR and Admin team, so the transition went smoothly."

How do you see the impact of this internal mobility on your satisfaction and performance at 5D?

"I'm delighted to have joined the brand-new 5 Degrés Bordeaux team, and I'd like to thank them once again for their warm welcome. I'm also pleased that I was able to be integrated into the 5Discovery project as soon as I arrived (an internal project carried out by several Consultants in Toulouse), and hang up my boots on the way!"

Anything to add?

"Being able to participate regularly in Toulouse events while the Bordeaux agency grew (and was able to have its own events) enabled me to integrate better, meet the rest of the team quickly and retain the dynamic I so appreciated in Paris."

"I joined 5 Degrés Paris in September 2022 on an apprenticeship contract for my M1 with Euridis Business School and am now continuing my career at 5 Degrés Bordeaux for my M2 with Epitech Digital School.

I have kept my scope of action and now work 100% remotely for Paris, with the support and advice of my Bordeaux colleagues."

What prompted you to consider internal mobility between agencies?

"What prompted me to consider internal mobility was the opportunity to join a new school, more in tune with my needs and expectations."

How were you supported and accompanied in your transition from one agency to another?

"I was very well looked after, both by 5 Degrés Paris (HR, Admin) and by my new team in Bordeaux, who were really enthusiastic about welcoming me."

How do you see the impact of this internal mobility on your satisfaction and performance at 5D?

"This internal mobility has had a very positive impact on my satisfaction and performance within 5D. The fact that I was able to join a new team in Bordeaux, while remaining within my scope and in contact with the Paris team, reinforced my feeling of belonging to 5 Degrés: we're a real Group and you can feel it! The dynamism surrounding my arrival has also contributed to maintaining an environment conducive to my professional fulfillment."

"I joined 5 Degrés Toulouse in January 2023 as part of my Master 1 work-study program and have been doing my Master 2 work-study program in Paris since August 2023."

What prompted you to consider internal mobility between agencies?

"I wanted to get physically closer to my work-study tutor Mélanie(Head of Communications and Marketing) based in Paris to take part in more strategic subjects (involving the Group and not just the regional agencies)."

How were you supported and accompanied in your transition from one agency to another?

"I was very well supported by the Human Resources team, who helped me from A to Z and eased the transition between Toulouse and Paris. I was made very welcome and immediately felt at ease within the Paris team, just as I did when I first arrived in Toulouse."

How do you see the impact of this internal mobility on your satisfaction and performance at 5D?

"Since I've been on the move, I've been able to gain greater autonomy and responsibility, particularly in areas that interest me and are close to my heart, and this has had a major impact on my professional development. 5 Degres offers the opportunity to grow, even as an apprentice, and that's something I really appreciate. I'm delighted to be able to continue my M2 sandwich course with 5 DEGRES!

At 5 Degrés, well-being and fulfillment in the workplace are priorities. That's why we continue to innovate to ensure that our people evolve, grow and leave their mark. We're proud of our teams' achievements and the success stories that emerge!
